HAINSWORTH

As proud holders of the Royal Warrant for supplying Furnishing Fabrics to Her Majesty The Queen, Hainsworth have long-established credentials in the Interiors world. Our fabrics adorn royal palaces, luxurious homes and opulent hotels around the globe, and the iconic scarlet covers the historic wool sack in the House of Lords.

All of our interior fabrics are manufactured at the Hainsworth mill in West Yorkshire from raw wool to finished cloth, ensuring we maintain complete control of every stage of the process. At the core of the range is a respect for the fibre, and a genuine love of wool and its many benefits. Wool is a sustainable, renewable resource, with natural characteristics including moisture absorption and resistance to flame, making it a clear choice for safe, resilient yet luxurious interiors.

The latest range draws upon this unrivalled heritage, utilising skills and craftsmanship learnt over 237 years, combined with modern design techniques and trends. The result is a carefully curated mix of woollen and worsted fabric collections, from classic staples to trend-led textures.

Hainsworth select only the best possible fibres, matching the fleece qualities to the end use of the fabric, ensuring a truly beautiful finish that no other mill can match. From iconic Doeskin to classic Meltons and contemporary Twills, the new range is made up of 7 collections, comprising must have woollen staples to modern textures and everything in between.

Broadcloth has long been regarded for its lustrous quality and sheen, perfect for accentuating the curves and folds of upholstered furniture and drapery.  At 220cms wide, Hainsworth Broadcloth is the widest woollen faced fabric on the market, and with 21 colours, ensures versatility of project use from modern colour statement pieces to relaxed neutral havens.

Finer Cavalry Twill is made from a worsted spun wool warp with a woollen weft, firmly woven and milled to emphasise the distinctive steep double twill lines on the face of the cloth. Creating stretch when needed and shrinkage when steamed, this cloth is perfect for high end, precision tailored upholstery, as well as drapes and cushions.

Barathea creates a subtle texture reminiscent of both natural materials and formal dress wear. The fabric has natural recovery abilities and quickly returns back to its natural shape, making it ideal for high end drapes as well as light residential upholstery.

The Modern Classic collection combines the softness of Merino Wool with the performance of Nylon to produce a classic Melton quality with wide ranging applications. Both modern and timeless, this multi directional Twill Melton has an inviting surface texture.

The Doeskin collection captures the drape and luxury of Merino Wool to create a luxurious handle and a distinctive sheen. Beautifully simplistic yet stylish and elegant, this fabric is brought to life through the very detailed approach that Hainsworth takes in selecting the best quality fibres, combined with years of processing knowledge and expertise. This traditional cloth is made to exacting standards, upheld through generations, yet it retains a thoroughly luxurious modern feel.

The Melange Meltons range consists of four unique fabrics, united in their depth of colour and interesting shade variation. The Melange Meltons range consists of a choice of fibre compositions suitable for heavy use upholstery, drapes and cushions.

The 100% worsted Whipcord is a tailoring classic with a distinguished heritage. With a smooth heathered twill, a soft sheen and fluid handle, the Whipcord collection brings a luxurious feel to elegant interiors. Made from 100% Merino Wool, this fabric benefits from the natural characteristics of wool, including breathability and moisture absorption.
